The Witchery of Archery

I was reading the post on the witchery of shooting and of course I started to think aabout the real old timers,Will and Maurice Thompson after the civil war in the south east,Art Young going polar bear hunting with a selfbow and killing one with it when people thought they were toys.Howard Hill in HUNTING THE HARD WAY and Fred Bear who if I recall right was 52 years old the first time He headed north,and lastly Bob Swineheart who was the real deal taking the Big 5 using only a laminated longbow,lots of real cool history in the past.
Now is the good old days

Yes, those are some good books.  I love how they make you feel like you're right there seeing all of it firsthand.   I may have to pull a couple of those off the shelf.
