Bow Stringers
« on: January 08, 2013, 07:22:32 pm »
I string my self bows with a string with a single cup on one end and a rubber grip on the other that holds about six to eight inches from the tip.  When I string the bow it looks like the limb with the cup is bent more (weaker) than the limb with the rubber grip.  Until I pull it back a few times.  I am thinking about making the tips on the next bow a little longer adding a small string grove at the end so I can string it at the limb tips with a long double loop string.

What are you guys thoughts on the best stringers?
Thanks

Pics..........pics. I made a stringer using small leather loops, punched small holes through and looped the string. The leather does not slip off.
