16th Tennessee Classic
Shaun:
This was my first time at the TN Classic and it was amazing! First special thanks to Pappy and crew at Twin Oaks for the outstanding work to set up and run this event. Gary Davis was all over the work place as usual helping so many to build their bows. Matt Wirwicki was right there too with a helping hand to many as they worked on bows. I got to meet a bunch of folks from the PA site, Pat B, JW, Calendar Girl, and some others from the site I'd met before. It was a great time in spite of intermittent rain. I did manage to hack out a bow and shoot a round but mostly it was just so good to visit with kindred spirits. Extra special good to see my friends Hawk and Joe from WY - ahoa brothers.

Josh B:
Wow! What a great time! I got too shake hands and howdy with a lot of folks I think highly of, but had never met face to face. I finally got to meet Badly bent, Lesken2011, Parnell, Shaun, Hawkbow, Wolfwatcher, Hedgeapple, Pearly, cardboard Duck, JW and .... and .... and.... well, there's just not enough server space to name even the first time meetings. I also got to hang out with a lot of other folks that I have met previously but only see once or twice a year. As usual, the generosity was overwhelming to say the least! You guys that hooked me up with staves, stone, stringwax, shaft and a whole plethora of other goody's are the bee's knees! I ended up with an armguard and quiver from Sea Bass that is just awesome! How many of you are so enamored with your new bowstaves that you sleep with em? :o I don't mean under your bed, I mean actually on your bed while you sleep! Alright, I admit it, I only put them there because I had no other place to put them, but I didn't even cuss when I rolled over and cracked my nose on a sweet piece of Black Locust this morning. That's gotta count for something. It seemed like every time I went back to the Ken-a-bago to get a barley pop, there was something new leaning against it or on the seat! I would have to pull a flat bed trailer of goods down there to repay the kindness shown me. I am truly humbled by it all.
And then there's Pappy, Miss Joanie and the entire twin oaks crew. Man, I just don't have the words to express my appreciation for what you all do. I'm planning to come earlier next year and try to chip in where I can best be utilized. You folks make me feel like family and it would be an honor to get put to work with such as you.
I know there are so many more that deserve mention, but I would be typing all night to list you all. Rest assured, I enjoyed every second of comradery while I was there. Josh
Badly Bent:
Man what a great time, beautiful setting and friendliest people anywhere. My wife Sharon and I enjoyed it so much that most of the way home, (10 hour drive), we talked about the experience, the nice people and how we have to come back next year. Pappy was a
very gracious host and introduced me to some of the guys. Met Will H.,osage outlaw, misslemaster, Danznbar, Matt Wiricki, Pearl Drums, Buckeye Guy, Iowa Bow, Blackhawk, Old Hippy, Mississippi Dave, Pat B, Ryoon, J.W. and others. Got to spend some time getting to know Gun Doc. Shot some arrows and talked a little hunting with Hawk. Flung a few arrows with Dave (DVS) as well and
got to know him a little. Saw some of the fine bows that had been made by Will, Cody, Dave, Ryan, Pappy and others hanging from
the shop rafters.
Went home with feathers, shafts and beautiful snake skin from DVS as well as a beautiful and sturdy possibles bag that was made
by J.W. that will accompany me on many future hunting excursions. A Will Harrison cd also went home with us to remind us of
the good life that exist at Twin Oaks.
Thanks Pappy, Joanie and the whole Twin Oaks Gang.
