I'm on the road heading home from visiting family, and just uploaded a bunch of pics...I'll post em after I get home from my PC....:D
What a blast....I think I had more fun this year(is that possible?)....the whole weekend is nothing but a big highlight...the friends,or should I say family to me ;)...the trading of materials...the making of bows...shooting shooting and more sshooting ;)....the AWESOME dinner on Saturday eve(thanks to all who donated either food, services,or money to make that happen :)....n one of my favorite moments was when pearly,Paul, and I went and shot the course with a bow we made Saturday that was still unsealed and unfinished...Cody came along too but he cheated and used an already sealed finished bow..lol...but we shot our bows in by walking the course n I carried a scraper n sandpaper in my back pocket in case I needed to adjust my tiller...but none of us had too....Paul had a rawhide string on his he made n halfway thru his string broke n he had to borrow one of our bows to finish shooting the course...lol....good times....good times :D
A slew of pics to come soon from me...
PEARL DRUMS:
Yup, that was fun shooting all three of our new bows at once. Ol' dead eye Paul was knocking em' dead even while switching bows every target. Of course the selection of bows he had to choose from didnt hurt anything. It was a dream weekend for any archer/bowyer/knapper or relaxer.
I had the pleasure of eating chef Pauls fine cuisine all weekend. It was a real treat camping next to him and meeting him. Both of our dads cut meat so we had lots of similar stories to chuckle about, and of course we both have our finicky meatcutters sons taste buds! The meal Saturday night was YUM-FRICKIN'-EEE! Thanks to all the chefs, doanters and set up folks......even that ol' worthless nut from O-H-I-O.
