T.G.I.F. Cause Im cutting ERC
« on: January 25, 2013, 10:55:23 pm »
Hey I just spent two hrs cutting as much ERC, and Winged ELM as I could get.  I know a developer and his company is planning a neighborhood.  He said they plan to cut all the "trash trees" so I piped up and let him know I'd save him the trouble.  I have these logs in the garage (running out of room), but there is still one that might work.  Its 16'' in diameter at base, and the bark is twisting a little at the bottom.  Should I harvest it? What would you do.

Thats a lot of good looking cedar. I wouldn't leave a trunk like that standing, you can find a use for it. I know a fellow around here who does chainsaw art, that trunk is primo--$35 to $50.
