A few wingbone turkey calls

I watched a trumpet/coronet player almost kill himself trying to "play" one of these.  I finally took pity and showed him how they worked.  Hehehe, and I thought his face was red BEFORE I told him!

Question for all you call makers.  do you remove all the honey combed bone on the end of the larger bone?

Nice calls with some nice decoration on them.

THanks.  I remove it.  I tried one with it and it muffled the sound.

I know I'm very fond of the one I own, quite a bit of sentiment attached.
