Thank you everyone. I had a question though, I was thinking about adding a hemp handle wrap on it mostly as a precaution against the bow breaking if the handle came loose. So far there is no indication it will come loose and I would hate to cover up that mulberry strip. If it was mine I'd leave it but since it's not.... Any thoughts?

You're right, it would be a shame to cover the handle entirely - why not a hemp whipping at each end of the mulberry strip?

Thanks for all the kind comments everyone. I actually ended up wrapping the handle, I asked the owner and she liked how it looked.
