patina ;) ;D ;D  ;D and yes they are warm,I have a coyote one that will burn you up in hot weather,it is a back style. :) :)not sure on goat if it is fur or hair .  :-\

Great looking quivers!

When the rawhide is dry (or drying) do you finish it with anything to help repel water?  If you got caught in a downpour with one on your back, would the rawhide absorb water and become slick and squishy again?

I use a clear coat acrylic on darn near everything, but it isn't primitive

hatcha, I use a Tung oil based spar varnish. Suppose to be all natural, I don't know, but it works great.
