deer skin quiver

Frawg:

Pappy:
I have made a few like that and they will last and look cool, only problem is deer have hair not fur so it will break as you wear it,every time you take it off you will have hair all over your back, especially after you wear it a while. Not form the hair slipping but just from breaking,it is hollow and breaks very easy.  :) They do look good ,that's for sure. Nice work on them. :)

been on the hunt for just the right hide to make this quiver

bowtarist:
I like those!  I just butchered a goat, thought about making a quiver from the skin.  I was going to put the hair on the inside, though.

Nice work, dpg

robby:
That is true Pappy!! I call it patina ;D! They aren't a warm weather quiver either. Anything with hair in it will, to me anyway, be uncomfortably warm, even one on a belt will make you sweat where it is in contact with your leg.
