Jasper and Antler
« on: March 23, 2026, 03:24:43 pm »
I got this stone in an assortment of slabs from meet in Silver Springs. I think it is jasper. It’s nice material whatever it is. Scary sharp.

Handle is whitetail antler with a rosewood button.

All held together with my pitch glue and sinew.

I like it. Hope you do too

Beautiful work, Brian.  Have a ton of jasper around here.  Mostly smaller pieces but occasionally a big one will surface.  Bright red.  Next time I find a good piece I'll send it to you, if you'd like.

I find little pieces of it here to, but never anything big enough to make anything out of it. I would like that Thomas. Thanks for the offer and the kind words.
