wait, how is voo doo a self bow?  Its backed with snake skin is it not?  Its an awesome bow but I think its in the wrong category.  Correct me if I am wrong.

Those snakeskins are just for decoration.  They have no other function.  The backed bow term refers to bows that are either hard backed with a thin slat of wood or bamboo, or a soft backing that is actually performing another function such as enhancing performance (sinew)  or protecting the back (rawhide, cloth or other tension strong "soft" backings.  These skins are so thin that they provide no such strength or protection.  BTW,  really nice work everyone!  Well except for that goofy looking red oak bow on the truck that is.   ;D.  Josh
