A quiver I made earlier... (side stalker type)
« on: May 16, 2013, 06:03:27 am »
Hi All

I made this one a couple of years ago: (please excuse the poor photos!)

2-2.5mm (or thereabouts) London Tan hide that I got cheap in a sale, used double-thickness, glued and stitched together to hold the shape, outer layer refinished in dark brown oil dye, inner layer left original colour. All coated in carnuaba wax.
The strap is dyed-through harness strap, brass buckles and D-rings. The D-rings are mounted into the welt., which is double-thickness, so the stitching along the welt had to go through 6 layers  :o

Robust and rigid, it works well as a field quiver, but would need padding to reduce the arrow-rattle for hunting.

Thanks for looking  :)
