Didn't feel like hunting tonight but knew it was the time to be out hunting here.
Doe came by first with a small buck chasing but niether presented a shot. Heard footsteps in leaves behind me a short time later. Small buck went under my stand and this bigger one behind it. Shot this one quartering away at about 8 yards. It only went maybe 40 yards and laid down. Figured I would stay in stand and watch till dark. With a little light left I got down and went to deer thinking if I needed to shoot again there would be enough light.
Deer was dead and gutting showed I hit liver for sure and must have got some lung as deer was dead in about a half an hour.
It is 22' inside spread. My son rough scored it at about 167 gross and 161 net.
Was not waiting for one this big but was sure glad he walked under my tree!!
This one was also taken with the same oasage bow and rose arrows as the first 2 little ones posted earlier.
