Warbows at Marshall Primitive Gathering 2013

YewArcher:
Had a great time shooting English Warbows at the 2013 Marshall Primitive Gathering with the Canadian Warbow Society. Here we did metal pierce tests. Bows ranged from 80#-110#. More photos to follow. Here I am with Carl and Scott and the much penetrated piece of armor.

More photos to come!

it was a first for me to see those war bows in person and one of the guys let me pull back a 100lbs Osage  and all I can say is I'm less of a man than I thought I was

YewArcher:
Paul, yes they are a handful. I have named that 100# Osage "The-Hog".

Hopefully Scott Spears (Owner and bowyer of a fore mentioned HOG) will keep the name as I took the bows virginity and shot it for first time ever in its life with a 1/4 pound arrow into plate steel. Good way to christian a bow id say!
