I have a bear quiver that uses spring tension basically to hold the quiver on. Pretty good and I replaced the foam.

I know the type you mean..think it would work on a thicker limbed self bow?

are you gonna leave it on or just use it hunting, if your not worried about looks you can make some real easy out of a pair of flip flops from the dollar store and two nylon ties

I've got a strap on boa, one of the cheaper plastic ones. They sell for around 45 plus shipping. If you're interested let me know. I prefer a side quiver.
