Osage stave

adb:
Yes... billets would work.

Fred Arnold:
adb, let me take a couple pics in the morning. If I don't have what you're looking for I'll get in touch with my bestest supplier over east of here on the Missouri River area. He does have a nice set of billets that I know of for sure ( I was thinking of trying to purchase them and more because I have a some urac that needs to be used up in a very short time).
I have a couple three long enough but not as wide as you're looking for.

k-hat:
Here's my best billets at the moment:

They are seasoned and ready to work.

The top one in the pic is actually a half that needs split to make sisters, should be plenty of wood there.  The other two below are sisters, a touch of character that can easily be heated out.  They do have a bit of crown.  They are all about 38" long.

This is one end of the top one.  There is a pin knot right there where i cut it, but it's not going to affect anything, probly the tip and and will be cut off.

adb:
Pearl Drums to the rescue! Thanks, Chris! A fine looking stick of yeller wood is on the way towards me.

I would of hooked you up, but I haven't been able to cut a thing this year, due to vehicle problems.
