papa's little Archer
« on: October 14, 2013, 09:14:31 am »
I made this bowl for my granddaughter Ki. Its a belly split from piece of scrap osage I had laying around in the garage. I believe it's about 29 inches tip to tip and I have no idea why it's drawing. It's painted pink with Krylon spray paint and now has Hello Kitty's and Minnie Mouse drawn on the back of the boat with a sharpie marker. Ki calls it her t bome, and loves shooting theba little help from papa  ;D. when I made it had plans for future expansion so when she gets older and a little stronger I'm going to remove the spray paint and apply some sinew.  thanks for looking.

That has got to be the most adorable little archer! I made my almost 2 year old a bow from an old piece of a garden stake. he pulled it back and shot his little arrow all by himself for the first time yesterday and I just about balled my eyes out I was so proud. Nothing like the next generation of bowyers and archers coming up.

That's too cool. Ki can't pull it very far yet. But shedefinitely has right idea on how to do it.
