Gus:
Welcome aboard budmenchaca,

You are not to far from several PA folks in North Texas.
I'm in Houston, but get up that way when ever opportunity presents itself... :)

Thanks for the  warm welcome Gus.

I primarily knap stone points and knives but I've been researching self bows for a while now and I want to gather as much knowledge from those of you guys that are actually doing it so that I can make my own.

This is a great site and I look forward to logging on every day.

Bud,

You're not that far from me. Drive on up to St Paul, pick an osage stave off my wood rack,  and we can have a bow bending for you in not very long. I can probably get some knapping tips from you while you're here. My shop is always available to a new bowyer.  EDIT: my shop's available to ANY bowyer (or knapper). :)

Thanks for the invite George. You aren't but an hour's drive from here! I'll definitely have to get all my ducks in row so I can get up there sometime. I really appreciate the hospitality...it's a constant reminder of why I love this forum.
