That looks like a very nice bow.  Should make him happy alright!
"The bow is the old first lyre,
the mono chord, the initial rune of fine art
The humanities grew out from archery as a flower from a seed
No sooner did the soft, sweet note of the bow-string charm the ear of genius than music was born, and from music came poetry and painting and..." Maurice Thompso

Thank you bow101, Carson and Mohawk13... Forgot to mention that although my Dad is Superman at 75 and very active he draws to the first knuckle of his thumb, somewhere near 24" and should be in the low 40's on weight. Will put up pics of him at full draw on Christmas if everything goes as planned.

Now that is a special xmas present. Can tell from looking at it in the pics that you spent alot of time smoothing out the details on that bow. Nice work, that should make your dads christmas extra nice. Oh and nice looking bend too.
I ain't broke but I'm badly bent.

Bet that will really mean a lot to him.  Wish my father would have made it to see my bow building.  I think he would have really liked it.  Enjoy!

Here is some pics of my Dad after receiving his bow Christmas day. He said he was very pleased with the performance.  Enough said here's my real Hero.
