When hunting with a bow, a second defense weapon and pipe could be handy. The blade does not have to be sharp, which could be hazardous to cutting the bow string. A dull blade swung hard will not be a pleasant result. The "Peace Pipe" was said to be smoked with a friend or the other side to kill the person if it was decided they were not your friend. It represents "Love and War".

Now that's a pipe.  Bet that would draw some attention for sure.

Pat, were you thinking of Briar, and not Meerschaum?  That is a white stone, that is carved into faces, and such, on the bowls.

I stand corrected, Wayne. Yes I meant briar but it has another more specific name.

I can't remember, Charlie.  8)  You wouldn't want them anyway. They all had this black tar stuff in them.  ::)

What about catlinite or minnesota pipe stone?

I have raw blank stone and couple of pipe blanks in various stages.
