look at this this is probably my best head so far and one of my first.I dont mind your criticism,i probably need it.i've also got a problam,i cant thin it very good so i'm asking all you pro's out there,thanks.

tough to say whats goin on. two things to work on are strong platforms and the angle of pressure you apply. looks like you are pushing down rather than down and in. not bad though for starters. there are some excellent vids on youtube about knappin you should check out. they will help you set up your platforms and show you some tricks. peace

Yea like Jamie said.It looks like you are working all your edges straight down.Try grinding on a 45 dg angle and push in towards the center of the stone at a less steep angle.Think about pushing and at the last instant angling down.You are really bending the rock till it brakes.It will travel all the way across if there are no ridges or steps.I'll see if I can get some pictures up this weekend.I'm having trouble with the Vista program I loaded on my laptop:-\
