Deer Hide Plains Quiver

(1/3) > >>

PAHunter:
I just didn't feel right using my modern quiver with my selfbows, so I decided to make a quiver out of a deer hide that an older friend at my sportsman's club graciously gave me.  I've never done this before so every stage was a learning process.  I viewed a lot of examples on this site, in my Native American books, and on Google.  I also had to work with what the material would give me.  For example I wanted to make the mouth the opening but the angle was just not right so I compromised and cut off some of the nose and inverted it.  Hopefully I'm wearing it when I get my first selfbow deer kill this year, or at least have a lot of fun stalking around the woods with it.

Auggie:
Very cool!  one of a kind i like it much

PAHunter:
Thanks Auggie, I appreciate it.

killir duck:
Very cool, just make sure you wear orange with it, wouldn't want that awesome quiver getting shot ;)

Josh B:
That's pretty sweet!  I've can honestly say that I've never seen one quite like that!  Josh
