Will it turn red when heated?  Some of our will but sometimes only on the outside.

that s indeed some very pretty rock! The only thing knappable really around here is obsidian and it is 70 miles away, a lot longer in the winter!

The tan / light brown usually does not turn red.  However I am heat treating the Jasper today. If everything goes well I will see what it looks like by tomorrow.
