Latest Bone knife
« on: March 30, 2014, 09:40:13 pm »
I started a new bone knife.  I am using Elk leg bone as the blade and whitetail deer antler as the handle.  I have it in place with pine pitch glue and will be using sinew to wrap it.  I enjoy working on bones it is a nice calming hobby.

saw a vid on youtube the other day comparing bone blade with stone blade....and while the stone probably would hold an edge longer..the bone was cutting nice thin quick cuts of ham...perfectly useable and easier to sharpen ..bone is.
