As title. should i cut a temporary nock or what?

toomanyknots:
Yes, a temporary nock should be cut. Some folks do it differently, some glue and wrap (with thread) a wooden wedge over the bows tip for the string to rest on. But I just cut a groove in the wood for the string to rest in. After the bow is tillered, I will then fit the horn, and make the horn nocks, but for most of the tillering I use temporary nocks.

That's very generous of you Mr. Lee.  Most kind.  Real mystery why you were kicked out of the EWBS.  You seem so friendly.
