The best wood for making a bow (Local in Illinois)

Hey guys, i am new and I need to know what the best wood for a longbow/re-curve bow would be. I live in Illinois so think about my area as well.
Some woods I know, Oak, Willow, maple, crabapple.

Stringman:
Osage orange, hands down! But your list of options is quite long. Maple, hickory, sassafras, oak, black locust, hackberry, elm, hornbeam, & walnut just to name a few. What part of IL are you from?

Slightly southwest/southeast of Chicago. In the suburbs.

Also I know people are viewing this, anybody any comments on GOOD wood overall?

Actually stringman, I was looking around and you are right! Orange Osage is some of the best bow wood around. Word is the native americans used Orange Osage for clubs and bows :) Ill go out a'huntin for some thanks!
