madcrow:
Anybody know how to kill these little kritters?  I sparayed with raid and it seemed to tick them off.  The reason I ask is because I had a deer hide from a very large (240 lb.) whitetail that I was going to use for some projects.  I had basically made rawhide, but left the hair on to line a quiver and other stuff.  I opened up the bag and found a bunch of beetles and a pile of hair.  The hide was distroyed.  Them I checked another bag that had two grocery bags full of processed sinew in it.  They were all in it munching away.  Any ideas on how to get rid of them?  I know they multiply quick.  I would like to alvage as much os the sinew as possible.

jamie:
freeze the sinew . any bugs or eggs will die off. not sure how to kill the ones you cant freeze

madcrow:
Any chance of those little rascals coming back to life after the sinew is thawed and used?  I would hate to biuld a bow and have them come crawling out of it a few days later.

Justin Snyder:
Bleach the sinew. About 1 tablespoon for a gallon of water will kill them.  Justin

Pat B:
Stop feeding them! ;D     Pat
