OneOneNiner:
Howdy guys.
Here is a point that I just made with bamboo and another piece of Talahatta for grinding.
I like to work TQ with wood(big ups to brother Pete), but my baton was too big to work indirectly.
I used indirect(JC Style), a little punch, and minimal pressure( tough to get the bamboo to grab and detach without the smack).
When I was as far as I could go with the bamboo, I had to get creative and added a piece of antler to the tip for easier notching.
Finished up the notches with a sharp talahatta flake.

Worked with bamboo at this point:

Added notching with antler tip bamboo Ishi.

TRACY:
Real nice point from that material. Tough stuff!

I agree. Have never used wood or boo to knap. Can just imagine the learning curve. Nice point.

JackCrafty:
Interesting!

It is always cool to see you expanding your horizons.
Way to go brother.
