NA Hand drums I made...

(1/3) > >>

Onebowonder:
I took on a project for a group I work with to make Native American styled hand drums.  Each drum is made custom to the individual and was made with hand tools and a lot of guesswork/research on my part.  This has been one of the most rewarding and fun projects I've ever taken on and I'm thrilled with the results.  We still have a goodly bit of decoration and pretty-up work to do, but they are DRUMS finally!

...the frames and beater sticks are made of quartersawn Eastern Red Cedar and the heads are from unbleached Elk hide.

Wow they are sweeet.
I sure would like to hear and feel the vibes
on a full moon night deep in a desert canyon.

Nice work on those..I made two from split and steamed hickory with deer rawhide. They are rewarding to make and listen to. Need to get those in a drum circle.

Jodocus:
These are really sweet drums, the erc looks gorgeous!
