I go in to work today, it is a normal day at work. I go to inspect some work that needs to be done.

I pull up to the home that needs some curb and gutter repaired and I see this.

The home owner let me take a chunk. Any idea on what type it is?

Wow for me that would be a gold mine. I have hacked and smacked so many different kind of rocks. Regular knapping rocks when found are sure a pleasure to work with.

Hmm that does sorta resemble alibates. prolly some kind of jasper from up there.. Good looking rock either way.

I am fairly certain that it isn't from Utah. The homeowner didn't know, she said it was there then they moved in. I think it is not very workable from freeze/thaw throughout the winters here. Too bad, it is good looking.
