We used one at Chris Cade's last weekend and it worked well.

I read your post as "backstrap" and was expecting to see a dead deer....hope the practice leads to some backstrap!!

DC:
It finally stopped raining long enough to build my backstop. I used a heavy carpet about 5'x5'. When I was shooting about 1 in 10 of those that hit the carpet went through it. I was using duplex nail points. I thought a blunt would be better so I sawed of the pointy bit. That left me with a nail head as the point. Now every shot that hits the carpet goes though it like it wasn't there. Any ideas? Do you think maybe the blunt is acting like a wad cutter and punching out a chunk?
