Need help on shaping bend through handle
« on: August 16, 2015, 11:59:14 pm »
Red oak board 1.5 wide and .75 thick at handle 4 inch area. When should I start shaping the handle and I don't exactly know how I should shape it as to not ruin the bow, just round the front edges don't touch the back?

Ww need pics, also you can do a search for bendys and check out the handles
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.

On bendy handle bows I always get the limbs bending first and then get the handle bending the amount I want. I did it the other way around a couple times and quickly realized I would end up with too much bend in the handle for my taste.
Whatever you are, be a good one.
