Trade Gizmo for white rabbit hide.
« on: October 22, 2014, 09:56:18 am »
I have been shooting dark stained cane arrows with natural turkey feathers, at dusk I don't have a clue where they go. I need to make some fir tracers to go on the backs of my arrows and need a piece of tanned white rabbit hide. I bought some feather tracers but they are pain to put on my arrows.

I make up a bunch of simple pine tillering gizmos to give away every year at tournaments and have one left, nothing fancy but functional. Will trade it for a piece of rabbit hide, a 4"x4" piece would be plenty will be plenty enough.

I don't have any right this min but I'm planning on picking up a couple today. I could send you some if you like. I don't really need the tillering gizmo. Patrick

Eric, if there is a fly tying shop near you you can buy "Rabbit Zonkers" for about $1.50 a pack already cut into 1/4" strips. Probably enough to do at least a dozen arrows.

I didn't know what the fly tying fur was called, found out eBay is covered up with it. Still looking for a trade, but I need white, pink or chartreuse.

No fly tying shops that I know of in N/W Bama.

Would this work Eric? Pic is a little dark but the fur is pretty white.

I'll post a pic tonight. The under fur is bright white and thick.

I'll send you some Eric. But I don't need a gizmo. You could just have half if you need it. Patrick
