Is B55 any better than B50 and is Fast flight that much more expensive..? What do you guys prefer. ?

There has been quite a few threads about string material.  Some people still like B-50 and others like the less stretch strings like FF.   They can be more expensive but you use less strands so you get more strings per spool.  If you make it to any of the big gatherings you can find deals on string materials with some vendors.  I loaded up on D-97 string and serving at the Classic this year.  Hard to pass up the prices they were selling at.  I also use FF. 
I started out with nothin' and I still got most of it left

I use B-50 on all the bows I make. I have used B-55 also. They are similar with one being slightly thinner than the other but not by much. I build 14 strands, Flemish twist with a bowyers knot on the bottom for bows of 45# and over(12 for under). It is a bit overkill but I've never had a string break and my bows shoot fast enough and smooth enough for me.

So Pat you still use B50, and you are happy with it. ?  Outlaw is D-97 like FF...?

Sort of.  I think its kind of in between B50 and FF.  That's just my opinion.  It is a thicker diameter than FF

I really like d-97 I make most strings two bundles of 4,sometimes 5 and double serve it
failure is an option, everyone fails, it's how you handle it that matters.
