Kirk Side Notch

Parnell:
It's not exactly to the form but I'm really happy with this point.  I feel it's my best to date and things are starting to flow for me.
Mullet gave me a couple of pieces of nice Georgetown the other weekend and I really like the stuff.
Much more control over my percussion and flaking.  I'm gonna probably work the notches a little more this weekend and see if I can get them just a little deeper.  I think I can.  One step where a flake ran out but oh well...

Two things I've changed recently with my knapping are:

1.  Remove thick gold wedding band from cradling hand when using percussion.
2.  Take more time to sharpen my pressure flaker and ABRADE!

StevenT:
Killer looking point! And the step just gives it a little character.

JoJoDapyro:
I have to remove my ring when I use digging bars, axes, sledge hammers and pick axes. I tend to smash my hand if I don't. I'll try that trick, anything could help my skills!

Wolf Watcher:
Looks like a keeper! :)  I learned a long time ago not to worry about little problems when the point comes out like this one!  I really like the way it curves from the center to the edge and from the base to the point.  Great job!

Parnell:
Thanks guys!

Very happy to hear from you Joe!  How you been buddy?  Hoping to see you in TN this year!
