Can one of you guys bring your electric draw knife?  I didn't get to see it in action last year.  I would like to see how it compares to my chainsaw angle grinder.

I'll bring the electric draw knife, I got a couple of staves I want to remove the bark and sapwood from.......

The curls from an electric draw knife, especially from osage, makes good fire starters.  :)

I got the second fleshing beam finished today.  I'll get the drying racks made next week and we should be in business.  I'm making them as two: 8 x 8 foot squares, joined at the top with a bolt through hinge to create an A-frame.  That way a people can work on each side.  It should, also, make it handy for smoking the hides.  We'll see how that works out.

osage outlaw:
If this weather doesn't break soon we won't be doing any hide tanning.  Might have to invest in some show shoes to make it around the 3D course.
