Need staves, have obsidian.
E. Jensen:
I'm sorry I didn't mean to come across as rude or anything, I just did not understand the purpose of the inquiry, my apologies.
steve b.:
I have a bunch of staves too and I was going to give them to you but my first question was, "have you worked staves before", because these are not perfectly straight or naturally reflexed osage staves, but are secondary woods that make great bows if you know how to deal with whitewoods like ash or hazelnut or where you might have to make some heat corrections, deal with knots, back if need be, etc.
E. Jensen:
Oh OK that was thoughtful of you. Actually I can work crazy staves but a good thing to bring up because I am newer than some bowers and while I can handle anything it does take a bit of fuss at this point and I have a few fussy staves already and I think I would enjoy a fuss free stave. I actually think that's the only kind I haven't tried yet! Unless it's Snakey I'll take that any day of the week
Eric Garza:
Can you be more specific with respect to dimensions? How long, wide and thick of a stave are you looking for?
E. Jensen:
Idk regular. 68-72" 2-3" wide and thick
