Red stag quiver
H Rhodes:
Back in October I had the good fortune to take a red stag which wandered off some game preserve and underneath the wrong guy's treestand.;) My good friend Robbie Limerick made me a fine quiver from part of the skin. Here is a picture of his good workmanship. He acorn tanned the skin which left the skin a deep chestnut brown. I am glad he left the hair side out. The reddish tint and dark guard hairs from the hindquarters will always remind me of that hunt. Thanks again Robbie.

I was just thinking about your post of that hunt!!! Lucky dog!
Nice quiver, too. Good work, making the best use of that critter up!
H Rhodes:
Thanks JW. That was a red letter day. I have gotten some mileage out of that big ole critter. :D
