Looking for a fleshing knife

(1/4) > >>

Gsulfridge:
Anyone have a good fleshing knife that's collecting dust.  I'm in dire need and would prefer not to have to buy a new one.  I have various trade goods (Osage staves, Tonkin cane, leather, string material, etc.,).

fredie:
how big any handle preference

Gsulfridge:
I have a cheap one that will not hold an edge.  I would prefer a longer one for beaver work.  Whatcha got?

Outbackbob48:
I use a Neckers and have also heard good things about Post knives. Niether are cheap. The only thing that's cheap is Prime Beaver pelts :( :o Bob

Gsulfridge:
Yep.  See a lot of people using a Necker.  I have read that the Post and the Caribou are top notch also.  I rounded up an old scythe blade last nite.  I am going to try to make one that will hold an edge.  One thing is for sure, I can guarantee it wont be pretty!
