knife looks real good Greg, let me know how it works, i found my old swing blade when i got home from moontree

Gsulfridge:
Well, I thawed a beaver pelt and tried it out.  Finished it up without having to re-sharpen.  The blade still needs refined just a bit, but I think it is a keeper.  I have another blade from Austria that has potential as well.  I trapped another beaver this morning, so I'll give it another go here in a day or so.

Outbackbob48:
Let's see the finished plumes ;D   You picked a good time to try a new knife on beavers. Nafa sale this weekend and beaver and all furs in general was a bust unless ya got some nice clear belly western coyotes. Fur is cheap, cheap, wished I would sent all mine to the tannery this yr. Bob
