Making Progress

Tracker0721:
I just got 2 of his in a trade, so I'll test one tonight on some leather. I'll also try finding the exact quote about sharpening. I had 5 days of 12 hour guard so I read about 6-7 books on knapping to keep from napping.

PAHunter:
@cowboy: Thanks.  Yep thinning is a definite area for improvement, followed close by everything else.  ;)  This is my thinnest yet so I'm making progress.  I'm also curious how thin hunting points should be.  I'm guessing it's a balance between cutting edge and strength.  I'm sure ideal is thinner than mine at any rate.  :)  Just need to get with some experienced knappers to connect the dots.
@Bob: Speaking of getting with experienced knappers...  ;)  Heck ya Bob, I'm very anxious to break some rocks with ya!  Yes I tried to make the serrations as Gill did in a recent video.  I'm very open to others opinions on the best points for deer/elk.  See ya on the 26th!
@Tracker: cool.  I'm very impressed with the one I got from Gill.  I've read two books on knapping but realized I just need to break some rocks until those lessons sink into my thick rock!   :o :P ;D
