Used to find plenty in WV during turkey season. Haven't found but one in NC until last Monday and I found around 20 in one area...they were good eating.

Found 112 yesterday in east Tennessee.

Wow I'd love to sink my teeth in some fresh morels this year, what's the secret? Is it a secret spot kinda thing, or is it all luck? I'm in eastern TN myself, near Gatlinburg.

Found 6 today...may spend some time walking tomorrow. Anyone ever noticed that north or south facing hills or banks play a role in morels growing?

thanks for all the replies, I'll be walking my woods today,very small patch of woods but maybe some srooms.
