This a bow that sat in my corner for a long time. The tips were a little out of line and I didn't really know how to correct it at the time.
The profile is all natural, except the top tip was slightly flipped to match the bottom.
Its 60" ntn which is pretty long for any ocean spray that grows around here
Some knots were violated on the back, so I backed it with rawhide just to be safe.
I posted some pics of this bow a while back, I was concerned about belly cracks around pin knots that seem to haunt all of my ocean spray bows.
Its shot over 600 hundred arrow so far, and seems to be holding up just fine, so i'll keep on shooting her.
Its a nice bow to shoot, its 42# @ 27", so it doesnt wear me out so bad.
I wanted to try some new finishing techniques, so I thought this would be a good bow to experiment on.
I used leather dyes, and its finished with tung oil. Sheep horn tip overlays, Strunk style grip.
I used some sturgeon scraps to try and fancy her up a bit.
Cheers guys thanks for lookin, - Goat
