I've done something similar to that and what I did was to chuck the tang of the roughed out point in a drill press and continued using a rasp to finish it off. You can polish it out really well with sandpaper that way also

Thanks guys ,it's a good way to use up the tips of the horns that were cut up for strips .Nocks can be made from the shorter pieces.I still don't know how much they weigh ,Sorry Pappy.

I wait to polish them up after I fit the outside diameter to match the shaft each point is to be mounted in.
