Obsidian knife for a friend
Pat B:
I assembled this obsidian knife for a friend that lends me his tractor for driveway scraping. The mahogany obsidian blade was knapped by Hickory Bill I think. I hafted it to a shed spike elk antler I found in the San Juan Mountains when I went elk hunting with Kenneth(Little John). I used 2 ton epoxy to haft the blade(for durability) but wrapped it with deer back sinew and sealed the wrap with pitch varnish. The stand is made from a slab from a 2" diameter osage pole and a shed deer antler.
Spotted Dog:
I like it. Something about stone blades.

Very nice Pat 8)

Pat B:
Thanks guys. I like the way the shape of the handle and the blade flow together. Like they were made for each other.
HickoryBill:
Looks like she turned out pretty darn good Pat...You did that blade we traded justice....Good one for sure
