Thanks, all!  RB: You're correct, the sheath actually slides into the slits.  It's secured by the keeper strap.  All that said, I wasn't really happy with the previous sheath.  It just seemed rather big and oversized for such a compact knife and I just didn't like the way it carried for some reason.  I had a little free time last night and came up with this instead.
