couple more simple points
Josh B:
Still trying to get back into the swing of it.....literally. I'm still struggling with my percussion strike accuracy, but it is gradually improving. The first pic is an obsidian point I chipped out while unloading today. The second pic is another piece of that Texas cobble after a bad shot with the antler billet. The last two pics are of what I managed to save from the bigger piece. Thanks for lookin! Josh

Nice Josh. I hope I just get close to that.

are you working that texas stuff in raw form?
Zuma:
Is your cobble Edwards? Looks like it. If it's not heat treated it tends to
make you smack it harder. But I have knapped some that had a way different
cleavage to it that would break like that all the time. The flakes would come
off plump and leave deep scars??
The ones you have completed look ready for the woods. :)

Thanks fellas! It's heat treated, but I don't know the origin or specific type. It's landscaping rock at one of my customers in Houston. I tried working some raw last week and blistered my hands so bad that I just now felt like having another go. That stuff is TOUGH! Lol! Josh
