« on: October 31, 2015, 04:03:22 pm »
Some recent knapping and the tools I am using...

2 hammer stones
3 deer antler billets
antler tipped retoucher
antler tip Ishi stick

Points are made from; Ohio yellow shale, NC black Rhyolite, Texas gray Georgetown, WV black Kanawha and I think white Keokuk
There are no bad knappers, only bad flakes

Thanks for the comments..

Iowabow, the hand held is a piece of antler sawed from the side and split off. It is pretty straight and is only about 1/4 inch thick. I tried to make it like Otzi's retoucher.
