needing hickory staves like bad....

ok so I need hickory staves really bad. its been atleast four months since I have been able to make a bow. now let me rephrase I'm up for any staves of any wood. building my first replica of an English longbow and I want to get it right. I have everything from coins of silver from the 1800s ( forgive me I wasn't sure if it was still a no no to offer old coins in a trade or not) to knives that are literally just lying around. please let me know what you would require for a stave.
