Blowhorn
Jodocus:
Pappy, that's what I did. I then enlarged the cavity of the mouthpiece until I got a sound. A coarse one. I tried to adapt my technique to get it clearer, until I saw my five year old daughter blow out a cristal clear, fat note. I then enlarged it further, now it sounds quite well, but still, the little one can do better... :P
Now it's about an inch wide and half an inch deep.
YosemiteBen:
Now that is cool! I might have to make one - in all of my SPARE time of course!
Pappy:
Yep, I can see one in my future , I had a good friend fro FL. come up to hunt this fall and brought me a bunch of Longhorn horns they raise down there. I Was trying to figure out what to do with them before some of the guys around there find them and make tip over lays or something like that out of them, ??? they are way to cool for that. I made a couple that blow from the end in the past but the problem was getting the hole through the solid end without busting through the side because of the curve in the horn, seems this one you made would be easier to control the drill hole. ;) Thanks. I think I will start with about 5/16 hole and go from there.

Good looking Shofar there.
Urufu_Shinjiro:
Awesome. And with the side blown it can double as a beer (mead) funnel when the party really gets going, lol.
